The second, regional Punt, Pass, and Kick Competition was held last weekend and all 3 Salem players did a great job. Davey Pollard and Mackenzie Edwards won 1st place in each of their age groups and will hopefully have the opportunity to advance to the next level if they are in the top 5 of all the sectional winners. 10 year old girls playoffs, final four pit the WS Slammers against the ES Tar Heels on a windy Saturday morning. #2 Maya Cooke sinks a 2 point shot giving WS Slammers an 11 - 10 lead over the ES Tar Heels. # 51 Megan Megliarese of the ES Tar Heels defends, #23 Allyson Miller of WS Slammers in the background. WS came from behind and won the game 15 - 10 to advance to the championship game!
